Swiatek Edges Out Sabalenka in Epic Madrid Final

Three-Hour Battle Ends with Pole's Triumph

World number one Iga Swiatek displayed remarkable resilience to defeat world number two Aryna Sabalenka 7-5 in the thrilling final of the Madrid Open. After three hours and 11 minutes of intense tennis, Swiatek saved three championship points to secure her second title of the season.

In a match filled with momentum swings, Sabalenka came out strong and took the first set 6-3. However, Swiatek fought back in the second set, winning 6-3. The third set proved to be even tighter, with both players holding their serve until 5-5.

At that critical juncture, Sabalenka earned three championship points. But Swiatek refused to give up and saved them all. She then broke Sabalenka's serve and held her own to secure the victory.

"It was an incredible match," Swiatek said after the win. "I'm so proud of myself for staying calm and fighting until the end. Aryna played great, but I'm happy that I was able to find a way to win."

With this victory, Swiatek extends her winning streak to 25 matches and solidifies her position as the dominant force in women's tennis.
